Il Marà del Lago is a sparkling wine produced by the Azienda Agricola Bianchi di Arogno winery. A BIO SUISSE organic wine. 


It is a classic method sparkling wine refined on yeasts for almost 2 years.

Part of this process takes place in the waters of Lake Ceresio 25 meters deep, in the absence of light and at a constant temperature that makes this wine unique. The wave motion of the lake has allowed keeping the yeasts in suspension, guaranteeing the wine creaminess and finesse.

All the bottles are numbered and are of an extremely limited number and is an exclusive product suitable for special occasions to drink alone or combined with classic preparations with lake fish or with more refined dishes of the gastronomy.

Il Marà del Lago is a Sparkling Rosè Metodo Classico produced by the Azienda Agricola Bianchi of Arogno winery and is an authentic organic BIO SUISSE wine.

The Bianchi company refined it in the waters of Lake Lugano, the Ceresio.

The Cantonal Water Protection and Water Supply Bureau believed in the project by releasing the laying permit.

Thanks to the collaboration and ingeniousness of the rescue company, Section Mendrisiotto, it was possible to deposit a suspended wine crate in Lake Ceresio.

The submerged buoy allows the lifting of the wine from the lake bottom, while the anchor guarantees its stability. These elements allow the sparkling wine to reach ideal aging in the absence of light, constant temperature and above all to keep the yeasts in continuous suspension. The natural currents of the lake have cradled the yeasts inside the bottle giving the wine a unique creaminess and finesse.

This first national Switzerland, by type of wine and refinement methodology, which came to its 2nd edition in 2018, allowed the Bianchi company to discover new frontiers of taste and enhancement of the Ticino area.

After three years of hard work and sacrifices in collaboration with Benjamin Ferro, the Bianchi company can present with great pleasure its small success: Il Marà del Lago..

Organoleptic characteristics

Colour The Marà del Lago has a beautiful pale pink coral color, crystalline, with a fine bubble, but at the same time captivating.
Nose At the first nose emerge notes of small fruits, wild strawberry and currant with a succession of different aromas passing from yeast to vanilla.
Taste In the mouth it gives the best of itself, to the delicate approach with a creamy and enveloping bubble. A wide and balanced structure, of long persistence.
Food pairing An exclusive sparkling wine suitable for special occasions, to drink alone or combined with classic dishes based on fish from the lake or more refined dishes of high gastronomy. The advice is to serve it at a temperature between 10-12 degrees to better appreciate its character and complexity!
