The 100 Anni di Merlot Rosso Barricato Ticino DOC of Cantina Giubiasco is the red version of 100 Anni di Merlot Bianco Barricato  and together they are the witnesses and interpreters of a century of history and culture in Ticino and Mesolcina of the excellent Merlot.

Its scent has hints of spice and ripe plums, the color is quite intense ruby red and the taste is complex and harmonious with spicy aftertaste.

Depending on the year, it is very good for 5 to 10 years.

Excellent with all types of cheese and red meat.

The CAGI Cantina Giubiasco is a company that was founded in 1929 and that vinifies the grapes of more than 450 winemakers in Ticino.

In recent years the winery has significantly improved the quality of its wines by enhancing old hillside vineyards in the Bellinzona area and its surroundings.

The 100 Anni di Merlot Rosso Barricato Ticino DOC of Cantina Giubiasco is the expression of the noble vine cultivated for over a century in the vineyards of Italian Switzerland and has perfectly adapted to the pedo-climatic conditions of the southern Alps.

t is a red wine produced with Merlot grapes harvested in hilly vineyards and matured in the cellar for at least 18 months of which 15 in stainless steel barrels and in second passage barriques.
