The Bianca Maria Bianco di Merlot IGT Svizzera Italiana of Tenuta Castello di Morcote is a wine dedicated to Bianca Maria Visconti, Duchess of Milan from 1450 to 1468 and wife of Duke Francesco Sforza, who built the Castello di Morcote.
A fresh and fragrant Ticino wine with a persistent minerality on the palate and a straw yellow colour, with 90% Merlot and 10% Sauvignon grapes.
Excellent with fish dishes and as an aperitif.
A high quality wine like all the wines of Tenuta Castello di Morcote.
The Due Vigne of CAGI Cantina Giubiasco is a very pleasant white IGT Svizzera Italiana, a wine obtained from the assembly of Merlot white with wine from interspecific white grape varieties.
It tastes very well as an aperitif wine but easily approaches also to appetizers and fish dishes. It has a pale straw yellow color, the nose is fresh and floral with hints of pulpy fruit and citrus.
The taste is dry, the softness of Merlot is contrasted by a more pronounced acidity and citrus aromas of white grapes giving an intriguing complexity.
