Details

The Cantina Rotaliana at the foot of the marvelous Dolomites is located in the heart of the Piana Rotaliana, near the city of Trento and the renowned Lake Garda. It was founded in 1931 and offers a fine selection of white and red wines from the Trentino region.

The Pinot Nero Trentino DOC is cultivated in Guoyot in Val di Cembra, in the lower Val di Non, which presents an ideal habitat for pinot nero grapes and on the hill of Trento, in Maso Saracini.

The soil is a rather deep, clayey soil and with the presence of a minute and grainy skeleton that constantly guarantees perfect drainage.

The harvest is strictly manual and generally takes place in the period of the second and third week of September. The vinification and maturation takes place with a fermentation in oak vats with manual pumping over. Then a short maceration of the peel for three or four days, then a maturation for some months in small wood. Bottle aging for six months.
