Its origins

Piaz is a Merlot produced by Azienda Agricola Bianchi of Arogno, a family business that was founded in 1998 by Marcy and Alberto Bianchi in Arogno.

Their two sons Martino (qualified winemaker) and Gabriele (winemaking engineer) also actively collaborate in the company.

All their grapes are grown and vinified 100% by themselves, in the most respectful way possible, following the organic principle.

The grapes of the Piaz Merlot Barricato IGT Svizzera Italiana Bio Suisse grow on the terraces of the small but precious Merzaghi-Piattini property and are cultivated and vinified with passion by the Azienda Agricola Bianchi according to the principles of organic farming.

The must is poured into the vats by gravity and left to macerate for a long time before being aged in barrels.

Piaz is a certified wine BIO SUISSE, produced with 100% Merlot grapes according to organic principles with a perfect harmony of taste and smell.

A wine with a ruby red colour, with an immediate freshness of the fruit on the nose and tannins that are always elegant on the palate. Excellent with risottos and first courses of meat.
